The current approach for economic development activities in Carbon County fall within three main areas:

1. Assisting existing businesses in Carbon County with access to low interest loans.
2. The attraction of businesses from outside Carbon County to move, expand or relocate to any of our existing, new, or future industrial parks.
3. To support the development of new business by developing a culture of entrepreneurship where if someone wants to start a business in Carbon County they have access to resources that can help them.

These three areas are supported by community development.  This means being a resource, conduit and facilitator in the community.  While the economic development corporation may not provide all the services and programs locally, it can guide and direct businesses to other resources available.
